    I love this channel. There are so many woodworking channels where they have a massive garage, multiple tables, shop vac and thousands of dollars worth of tools giving the impression that it's some typical garage setup (maybe in the US?). It's nice to see someone who values their space.

    Nice video- but why add glue? So sad to see the glue. Defeats the purpose of nail-less joints.

    Hello Dan - While living in Romania were you able to order tools online and have them shipped to your location? I've never been to Romania and I don't know anything about the conditions there. Thank you.

    Does it leave a surface smooth enough to finish? Could we say we are being environmentally and fiscally responsible by not throwing away so much consumable sandpaper?!

    • @FearsomeWarrior
      @FearsomeWarrior 21 день тому

      Not really. The maker is NT Cutter and they specialize in craft and leather tools. They’re primarily sold as leather roughing tools to glue pieces. Not great on wood. The higher grits are a nylon plastic and blue colored. It is just a rasp with replaceable pads. A sure-form too I guess.

      Here is the manufactuer page www.ntcutter.co.jp/en/products/detail/124 Says "Suitable for finishing wood and light metal surfaces" but probably good for leather too

    The cool thing is you sit on it. Makes it stable. Don't need to think what table to put it on. Perfect if you live in an apartment. We use something similar here called a "goat," like a cobblers bench, made out of whatever wood is at hand, the weight of the sitter driving the pieces together and making it very stable. But it's simpler than this.

    Hello Octavian! I made a bench the same size with two vertical planes as yours. For now I use clamps without a vice. I’m still thinking about how to make a vice. Most likely it will have one screw and a "fan" of several thin sheets of plywood. This fan will compensate for the thickness.

    Good day, Octavian! Thank you so much for your videos!!! Why did you install a vise bench stop near your left hand? What do you think about a narrow vertical vice in the form of a 50*50 mm beam? Sometimes it seems to me that such a vice is more stable than one made from furniture board. However, your vice looks elegant. But how convenient is it? does it warp when working with narrow parts? is it durable over time? I'm in the process of making the same workbench. Although it's ugly and primitive compared to yours.

    Awesome. Delightful seeing leather and small project. I am curious how you put the bottoms in your stacking tool boxes. 6 mm ply in a groove and then two long runners for the interlocking on boxes below? Maybe four little blocks inset to lock in?

    The european wooden planes are cheaper, sturdy and if you know what you doing you can achieve remarkable results with a tool lasting for life. Don't get me started on the 2nd hand market...the whole thing gets dirt cheap if you are a hand tool enthusiast..
